New week, new method of communication

Today, Monday 15th October 2007 marks the day that the Holden Associates blog goes live.

We have since October 2004 had a regular monthly news page on our site, and although this proved useful it also had its limitations. So we decided it was time to move with the times and get blogging!

I have for sometime been a guest blogger on the SME Blog and I want to thank Stefan for letting me loose on his blog and readers, it gave me a great insight into what blogging is all about.

While I am thanking people I also want to thank Dennis Howlett whom I have come to know over the years and is another of those responsible for getting me into blogging. I know its taken a while Dennis to get my own blog going but I wanted to wait until the Holden Associates website was redeveloped, which it has now been.

With our new website we have still retained the feel the old site but made it a bit more user friendly, quicker to load and hopefully given it a more modern feel, but only time will tell what our clients and visitors think.

It is my intention to use this blog to keep clients, both those we act for and those we have yet to act for, updated on topical issues that impact on their businesses, and I also want to encourage feedback and comments, after all it’s a new way of two way communication, one that also lets others have an insight into who and what Holden Associates are all about, now how many other firms of accountants and business advisers do that?

Ah yes, you have caught me, and after many a time spent sparing with Richard on his blog I decided his design worked for me too :-)

    Jason,

Great new site and blog, I’m sure it will serve you and your clients well. I hope you will find it as inspiring to talk to your clients as I do.

Go for it! You won’t regret blogging. It takes just a little time – but I believe the yield is very high.

Hope you won’t mind me commetning sometimes!

And I like the design :-)

Thanks Stefan and Richard. I am looking forward to getting the blog rolling and I will be only too pleased to have you both comment.

Before I forget Richard, this doesn’t mean I will stop visiting and sparring with you over at your place :-)

And as for the design, it took days of research and the design budget was battered, then I realised it looked like someone elses I know :-)
