Outsourcing has become common place in business these days, but I am not talking about the call centre we have all phoned and got irate with, no I am talking about using the services of someone who is not in the next office or room or even postcode.
Winweb already offer a service which is know as Virtual Assistants, these are people who will carry out various services for you which leaves you free to run your business, now that is great for many small or even start-up businesses.
And this got me thinking, if winweb are offering all these services then surely pretty much anything can be ‘outsourced’ after all I know at Holden Associates we are used by clients throughout the UK so I guess to many we are an ‘outsourced’ firm of advisers.
It was after a bit of research that I came across People per Hour, what a great idea, this takes outsourcing to a new level, a business actually posts what it is that it wants done and the people with the skills to carry it out actually tender for it, this way the business can actually choose who gets the work.
Competitive tendering, now that I like!
