We have been keeping all our clients up-to-date with the changes that are coming about with the new Companies Act 2006, this is the replacement for the Companies Act 1985.
As many of you will know, the changes have been dripped in so far with the main changes to take effect from 1 October 2008, or so we all thought, but inline with our current government and its inability to create any certainty for the UK business we now know the timetable has been put back.
As we have detailed in our Client Fact Sheet 5 the main changes to the Companies Act 2006 will now not come into force until 1 October 2009.
Although it is envisaged some changes will commence on 1 October 2008 this has not yet been confirmed, we will as always keep you fully updated.
