How can the smaller business market itself?

I came across this article today by Cristina Favreau, Marketing Strategies That Work.

Marketing Strategies That Work is a follow on from Where are You Stuck in The Marketing Cycle, in this first posting Cristina dealt with which area of the marketing cycle you are either stuck in or need more help with.

Cristina breaks the marketing cycle down into four key stages:

  1. Filling the Pipeline
  2. Following Up
  3. Getting Presentations
  4. Closing Sales

What I like about Cristina is that she has an obvious passion for what she is doing, this is always evident from peoples blogs, I find if they give enough away to actually help you, rather than only a taste with a call me for a quote approach, then the passion they have for what they do shines through.

I would recommend small business owners go look at Cristina’s blog, there is as I always in the best blogs enough detail to actually prove useful to you.

Jason, thanks so much for the writeup and link to my blog, as well for passing my article on to your readers.

I’m glad my passion comes through in my writing. I truly believe in giving as much information as I can. I’ve been given so much in my years in business that I am happy to share with others.

Some people say I’m shotting myself in the foot “If you give everything away on your blog, no one will hire you as a coach.”

I have found the opposite to be true. The more information I give, the more people want to hire me… It’s all part of gaining the ‘know, like, trust factor’ I wrote about in my article you refer to.

Thanks again! I look forward to following your blog!

Cristina you are more than welcome. I don’t believe giving information away is a bad thing, I do it myself, and this blog will also over the coming months and years have information that is of use to client and potential clients, but I am happy to share that knowledge.

It is only those who are not sure about themselves that seek to keep everything a secret.

Now I know you are following my blog I will have to make sure my business advice and guidance is creative :-)
