Marketing, the follow up

Yesterday I made a posting about marketing, in it I mentioned this blog, and how it is a form of marketing, and no, this method will not suit everyone, but if you had any doubts about the success a blog can add to your business ask yourself, which of your competitors who have website’s blog?

Some people who have been blogging far longer than me, and who are certainly more successful at it than I am, are Wendy Piersall who has a great article on successful blogging.

Another great read is Duct Tape Marketing, and on it John Jantsch gives his views on why you should start and grow a blog in 2008!

PS this medium will not suit other accountants or business consultants :-)

Definitely Jason-Bloggis is not for everyone. However, I strongly believe all professional service firms should blog.

I guess most if we are honest will not, those that do understand web2.0 are few, those that understand the internet and other such online technology are even fewer.

In my experience professional service firms do not tend to engage in technology like we see now with web2.0.

I would however add, the larger firms do get it, it tends to be the medium sized and small firms that don’t, my competition, which suits me :-)

    Thanks for the comment Shama.
