According to an article on today’s AccountancyAge website 88% of business is happy with the UK’s tax system, the survey commissioned by HM Revenue & Customs went on to say that 68% of all businesses interviewed where satisfied with service levels at HMRC.
Well that’s alright then isn’t it, or is it? Well this is big business we are talking about here, you know those that pay oh so much in tax.
I wonder if HMRC will commission a similar survey for small business?

Good gracious. 88% of businesses are happy with the tax system? No way, Jose!!
I agree - they need to ask small businesses as well - I bet the percentage won’t be so high!

Emily, you have to remember that big business have their own dedicated sections at HMRC, and as we saw not that long ago when HMRC came out with a statement that big business does pay its taxes, they enjoy a close relationship.
Then look at how the small business is treated!
