For the early years business, or the business that is a start-up, there are so many things to think about and even more to know.
This having to know it all is a reason so many don’t know which way to turn, there are a lot of different government funded organisations out there offering support and advise, all to varying degrees so be careful.
The cost of an accountant is another thing that puts many off going to see one, which is a shame because on the whole a lot of us are actually okay, and more than willing to have a quick chat with you, for FREE. Mind you this involves taking time out of the day to see us? (not always we have a phone here we can use :-))
Well for those of you either thinking about starting a business or in the early stages of one, and with no money to see an accountant (not seeing us is a big mistake bye the way in my opinion, some of us can actually help you) there is help at hand and you can do this from the comfort of your own armchair.
Business Link, for those of you who didn’t know they existed, had a website or could of any use, they actually have a website full of information, in fact it is pretty much bursting with information, and that in itself can be a problem, where to look and what to look for, well today I am going to point you in the direction of their ’start-up organiser’.
The organiser will take you through a series of questions about your business or intended business and at the end will give you a ‘tasks’ sheet, these are designed to aid you as well as focus your attention.
If you register with the Business Link website you can also save these tasks, otherwise it lets you download them into a PDF file.
It is well worth a look, and for many well worth using, it also makes my job easier if when meeting start-up or early years businesses if they have actually covered some of the basics, it allows the advise we offer to move past the most basic and that in turn allows us to add value, which in turn results in you building the business that you want.
