Don’t cut your marketing budget

Too many businesses cut their marketing spend in a time of recession, why? Well usually because it is seen as an easy expense to cut, but is it the right one to cut?

I think I should point out that marketing is not the same as advertising. While ‘traditional’ advertising may not be producing results and therefore there is a sound argument for cutting this expense, marketing is about pushing the name of your business and keeping people aware of it, and your services/products, while at the same time introducing others to it, so don’t cut this cost!

If you are based in the North West you are lucky, there are grants available.

This is an amazing article with an intriguing idea. I totally agree that business names and brands should promoted at all times. More so during recession time!Consumers tend to be make many choices and if a business name or brand is not emphasized, small business owners may loose out on some potential clients.
